Former Big Brother Naija winner Phyna has sparked a fresh wave of online debate after publicly declaring that she has no intention of having biological children, expressing a preference for raising pets over starting a family in the conventional sense.

The reality television star made the disclosure in candid remarks that have since circulated widely across social media platforms, where they have drawn sharply divided responses.

“I’m very fertile, but I don’t have any desire to have a biological child. I just wanna be a cat and dog mum,” she said, framing her position not as a deficiency but as a deliberate and considered personal choice.

Phyna went further to offer what she described as a broader observation about women and their evolving relationship with pets, suggesting that a growing attachment to animals often develops as women approach their thirties — particularly those who have endured repeated heartbreaks or found themselves distanced from the prospect of settling down.
