Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has secured a political appointment under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
The actor announced via his Instagram page that he has been appointed Deputy Southeast Coordinator of the Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) movement. Expressing his readiness for the role, Yul declared his unwavering support for the president ahead of the 2027 elections.
“BATTLE READY.
SERVICE READY.
2027, TINUBU OR NOTHING,” he wrote, tagging President Tinubu and key figures in the movement.
Yul’s appointment comes shortly after fellow Nollywood actor Bolanle Ninalowo revealed that he had been named Coordinator of the RTIFN association in Atlanta, USA.
The development did not come as a surprise to many, as Yul Edochie has been a vocal and consistent supporter of President Tinubu. The actor has repeatedly praised the administration, crediting it with improvements such as extended power supply in several states and a reduction in terrorist attacks. He has often referred to the president as the Jagaban, describing him as a master strategist and a silent achiever.
In July 2024, Yul’s wife, Judy Austin, publicly commended him when he launched the Relax Jagaban Will Fix This Country movement in support of the president. She praised his dedication and commitment, describing him as the embodiment of strength and stability.
Yul previously made headlines after adopting the nickname “Asiwaju Baby” to openly declare his admiration for President Tinubu. He further showcased his loyalty by sharing photos of himself wearing a Tinubu-themed outfit featuring the president’s image.
On several occasions, the actor has reaffirmed his belief in Tinubu’s leadership, stating that despite Nigeria’s challenges, he remains confident that the president has the wisdom and capacity to fix the country. He has continued to pledge his full support for the administration.
