Actress Destiny Etiko’s new man confirms romance, hints at wedding

Nigerian singer Excess Van, who is rumoured to be romantically involved with Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko, has finally addressed the speculation surrounding their relationship.
The buzz began after Destiny set social media abuzz with romantic photos of herself and the singer in the spirit of Valentine’s season. Sharing the loved-up snapshots, the actress hinted that her Valentine had arrived early, sparking widespread reactions from fans.
Breaking his silence, Excess Van took to his Instagram Story to repost a cosy photo of the pair. He accompanied it with a subtle but suggestive caption: “Be our guest 💍 2026 ❤️,” further fueling speculation about a possible future together.
Interestingly, Valentine’s Day has been a memorable occasion for Destiny in recent years. In 2025, the Asaba-based actress and producer marked the celebration by acquiring a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG. Despite being on crutches at the time, she couldn’t hide her excitement as she received the luxury vehicle at her residence, sharing the joyful moment with fans online.
However, Destiny’s love life has not been without controversy. In 2024, actress Queeneth Hilbert publicly accused her of snatching colleagues’ wealthy partners, alleging that Destiny once took her ex-boyfriend from Benin who drove a Mercedes-Benz.
Amid the drama, Destiny appeared unbothered, sharing a video of herself posing beside her white Mercedes-Benz and declaring that her car is her “happy place.”
She also addressed separate rumours that veteran actress Omotola Ekeinde’s husband had gifted her a car. During an Instagram Live session, Destiny firmly debunked the claims, insisting that every achievement she has attained was through her own hard work, without financial support from any man.
